WMinus runs a small applied lab for robotics, computer vision and AI. Experiments happen on real hardware, on the bench and at competitions, and what survives goes straight into client systems and our own products.
The lab is not a separate department. It is the same engineers who have delivered 100+ client projects, spending bench time on robots, boards and vision systems we own, so the hard parts get solved on our own hardware before they reach yours. Firmware, electronics and software all come from the same team, with no subcontractors in between.
What the lab works on
The lab goes deep on the parts of engineering most software companies never touch: machines, sensors and models that have to perform outside a controlled environment.
Robotics software
Autonomy stacks for machines that navigate on their own: sensor fusion, localization, path planning and real-time control under real physical constraints, tested on hardware rather than in slides.
Computer vision
Object detection and tracking that runs fast and locally, so a robot or device can read its surroundings without a round trip to the cloud.
Applied AI
Models put to work on narrow, well-defined problems: perception, prediction and decision support that hold up outside a demo.
Prototyping
Rough versions on the bench fast: firmware, electronics and software brought up together, so we learn from the machine itself instead of a simulation. What survives gets hardened into something dependable.
Nothing stays a side project
The team behind WMinus is a RoboCup world finalist in the rescue-robot league, and took 3rd place in the technical challenge at the world finals in Brazil, with autonomous robots designed, built and programmed in-house. That standard is the point of the lab: everything it produces has to hold up somewhere real.
